How?
10.18.04 (3:57 pm)
How do you mourn the loss of someone you barely knew, but loved very much? Saturday my last living grandparent passed away. I remember her, barely, just bits and pieces really. I know in my heart she is in a better place, she's with my grandfather again. It breaks my heart though, to know that I will never get the chance to speak to her again. I’ll never get the opportunity to know her like I wanted to. I’ll never again get that little book of life savers for Christmas. I miss her already…

I can't really help you much. I have been lucky not to have dealt with death much. As long as you remember the good about the person there really isn't much you can do to mourn. I don't know. Sorry for you loss.

This lesson makes it that much more obvious that WE need to make sure that our own kids know their grandparents. Not just know their names, but spend time with them often.

I'm sorry for your loss, honey. *Hugs*

It's the only reason I deal with "her" like I do. It is important to me for her to know where she comes from!

Glad your back!! I missed you!!!!

Exactly. I knew you would know what I meant. LOL........ God, we can read each others minds. Scary, eh?

Sorry about your loss. The only thing you can do is hold on to what memories you do have... even if they are few...

{ Hug }
I only have one left (2 died long before i was born) and she's had Alzheimers for so long she's really already "gone". I grieve for the missed opportunities. I'll just try to hang on to the few good memories I have, and pass those on down. I know you will, too :) {hug again!}

That's what I'm going to have to do. She was a great woman, and she will be missed.

My condolences... I just recently lost my great grandmother and was lucky enough to be able to see her 3 months before she passed.
I was sad but it was her time and she's in the best place yet.
